Default 48 spring saddle seat Worth the money

I'm a new 48 owner love the bike but the seat is my biggest complaint. Does anyone have any comments on the spring saddle is it worth the extra coin?

Thanks!

Got a new 48 myself about a week ago. Love the bike, hate the seat. Was wondering about the same thing. Bout $500 bucks for the seat and mounting bracket from the dealer..........YIKE$

One of the two 48's I test rode had the spring saddle, and there is no doubt in my mind that it is worth the money. Bite the bullet and get it, you won't regret it.

I'm thinking of going the Rich Phillips route:
http://www.bikersaddles.com/shop/

Depending on the saddle, it can be cheaper than the HD brand.

Looks expensive - $450-500 for a seat and ,mounting kit? I'd just get it off Ebay and pay about $150 or so.
