Default Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breather?

I'm going to pull the trigger on a new air cleaner sometime this week, and so far I've come along the Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breather.

This will allow me to use the FuelPak I have. What kind of performance gains will I be looking at? Is there another one that I should consider? Looks aren't the deciding factor here.

And DIY is not an option either. :P

I just put one on my 883L and I love it. There is a little gain from it but i also had the ecm remapped.

Do you notice it getting in the way of your right leg at all?

No, it will actually give you a little more room.

The heavy breather is a good choice, will actually give you more leg room than the old ham can did, and breathes way better. I ran a Forcewinder on my Sportster and the heavy breather is basically the same thing. You'll need to keep the "sock" with you for those times you get caught in the rain, or like me, just keep it on all the time.

The heavy breather does not breathe anywhere near as well as the Screaming Eagle Stage 1 A/C, and only slightly better than the stock ham can. It looks cool, though.

There is plenty of room for my leg now. You will be happy with it. I know I am.

Wrong. Got any dyno sheets showing a difference in performance with just those air cleaners changed out?

The Heavy Breather is a good option, and in my opinion one of Harley's options that aren't hugely overpriced. And you can use whatever fuel management system you want, it doesn't have to be the Harley one if you don't want to. You can use any fuel management system with any air cleaner (technically), the only difference may be a little performance depending on which you pick.

I was looking at a heavy breather for my bike too but ended up going with an AN stage 2 because by all accounts they are the same and the AN is not as expensive. You will be happy with either one just depends on how much $$$ you got and the looks you are going for.

Again, I don't care about looks or leg room. I'm just looking for the best bang for my buck.
