Def. different. I'm thinking that if it mounts to the lower tree then the tire may contact it eventually.

Check out where the headlight is on this one.

That's interesting. Of course, it makes the light awfully vulnerable...

If you picked up a fork brace & mounted your headlight to that it would be down low like that and won't ever get closer to the tire than where it's mounted.

I like what you're looking to do...I say give it a shot.

The only way this light modification would work is if you mounted it to a fork brace like MREED suggested. You have a LOT of travel in your fork tubes (2-3 inches) so if you didn't do a forkbrace or actual fender mount, the front tire would hit, ripping off your headlight.

Honestly, I'm just looking for something thats isn't gonna require me to drill anything in. I know people usually drill a hole to of some kind for a mounting bracket but I wish I could find some brackets that just screw on.

Then I think mreed's suggestion of mounting it to a fork brace is likely your best bet. Now of course you're going to have to drill the fork brace, but you won't have to drill into anything on your bike.

If drilling is causing a headache because either you don't have tools or you aren't mechanically savvy, just buy the brace and mark where you want the hole drilled - take it to a body shop. They'll probably do it for free or tell them you'll buy them pizza. At my old body shop we did little freebies like that all the time
