Ignition module 2003 XL1200C Sportster
How do you know when you need to change your ignition module? I had a bad battery(changed it), bad ignition coil (Changed to SE Ign. Coil), and yet my bike starts but when warmed up and turned back off it will not start up again until it has cooled down for at least a few minutes and it even shuts down while I'm riding and will not start back up until it has cooled down again. I was told it was my ignition module which I was going to replace with the SE ignition module which is on order now. What is the best way to know if it actually is the ignition module that is the problem. When I turn the bike on the LED light is off. When starting it flickers and keeps flickering while bike is running. Any ideas?

You have all the correct symptoms to be a module problem, bad modules almost always give problems only when hot and then work perfect again once they cool off. It was a very common problem in those years and I'd buy which ever module is cheapest SE or stock because the SE module is just a stock module with a higher rev limit.
