I don't really want loud pipes at the moment. But I do think that my new 48 is set real lean from the factory and could probably benefit from a richer fuel mixture. I'm wondering if the Dealer can remap the bike for a mixture that will increase the responsiveness of the motor? I'm betting that the stock air filter/exhaust combo is capable of more power but that Harley has it set up for fuel efficiency.
I figure it would save me around $500 not to buy new mufflers and air filter. Anyone done a remap without new air filter and mufflers?

Dobeck TFI is an economical way to richen it up a little, and it works with minor upgrades as well for later when you do want higher flowing pipes and air cleaner. Khrome Werks makes quiet, rumbly slip ons that flow well and will not disturb the neighbors. Dobeck has a killer military discount, they really support us and their product is simple to install and works well.
