Big radius vs Competition series
Hi fellow members,
I can't decide between the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 or the Vance and Hines competition series exhaust for my harley 48 2011. From what I can hear on youtube the competition exhaust makes a louder sound and it sounds nice. The big radius seems to be making a more standard sound, but it looks great.
Anyone has some advice?
Thx and greetz

Look at Bassani too...everybody and their momma runs those pipes just sayin.
Here is my 48 with Bassani FireSweeps they sound deeper and look so much better than V&H.

Well in Belgium, I haven't seen a Harley with the Big Radius or the competition pipe, so not that common here I guess.

The Competition is a high quality stainless steel stepped primary 2-1. It will produce more power than the 2-2's. It sounds great and there is an optional quiet baffle.
I'd buy the raw finish as black ceramic is easy to scratch (regardless of brand). The O2 sensors may be the worst aesthetically placed sensors in the industry. Being a comp pipe by design, there are no heat shields. The rear pipe gets hot. I fabbed a shield by cutting some stockers.

Sensor, no, but the wires are in a pretty good tight up against the push rod cover. I agree, the O2 sensor locations on these pipes leave a lot to be desired, but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as it seems to bother everyone else. I'll take an awkward O2 location just to not have the same pipes as every other sportster on the road, V&H Short Shots.
