Default Tank Lift, Coil and Ignition Relocation, my version

Well I decided to try to tackle this project on my own and for having no vice to bend steel and no welder I think I did a decent job. Tools used, grinder, sawzall, drill, clamps and my trailer to whale on to bend a few pieces.

It all comes apart tonight for paint and proper bolts on the tank lift and coil relocate bracket, Tape up the coil wires, but you get the idea.

I got the plug wires at the local dealer and have $5 into the metal. So once I get paint and bolts I suspect to have $35 into it.

Any suggestions I am all ears before I prime/paint

What a horrible pic, I will get a better one at lunch

Looks nice, really clean. Kudos on the budget for sure.

That was the objective was saving some $$, plus I have not "fabbed" anything in years and figured it was easy enough I could tackle it. Does not look near as clean as their products, only gripe about DK's coil kit is they weld the bracket in 4 pieces it appears. It takes nothing to bend that steel 22.5*. I think it looks better.

I can get individual pics once I remove it all tonight before I clean it up and paint it all if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the compliments.

I did pretty much the same as you. I had some scrap metal laying around. I cut and spliced my wired myself though. They have been good for 4 months.

What did you have to cut/splice?

Anyone ever wrap the coil/ignition with header wrap? Took it apart after work for paint and both items were pretty hot after 20 minutes of commuting home on city streets. Just a quick thought/possible dumb idea, but I have some in the tool chest
