Run a Harly's branded regular plug. They last a long long time. Just two of them. Not sure if your sporty has the same Ion knock system a Softtail has but it only works correctly with the low resistance Harley branded plug.

Please tell me that you don't have 20 year old spark plugs in your bike lol...theres no magic spark plug. The HD plugs work fine. If you're drag racing and need that last 10th then you can index the plugs but for the other 99 percent stock plugs gapped correctly and changed more frequently than every 20 years lol...

Ditto on HD which I believe is simply a Champion. Mine runs great with them AND my local O'Reilly has them in stock...as well as the Wix oil filter.

Haha nah, I changed them around this time last year, maybe 6500 miles. I’ve always put the hd plugs in her, was just seeing if I should try something else. Just saw hd offers the screaming Eagle plugs

Unless your bike is special plugs ought to last, in my experience, at least 20,000 miles. That is when I did mine hence in my experience.

In the FSM I have they state every two years but the dealer told me that 25,000 to 30,000 miles is quite normal just making sure to clean and gap them.

Now clearly if your bike is oiling up the plugs or isn't tuned quite right then it might eat plugs.

The HD spark plug replacement interval on the Sportster carbureted models was every 10,000 miles. (at least for the 2004-2006 models)
For 2007 and later EFI it changed to 30,000 miles.

I'm running a pair of Drag Specialties Performance Spark Plugs, they certainly do improve the performance of my 2011 XL883N. I also like the black and red porcelain insulator on these plugs and the bodies aren't rusting like the stock H-D plugs did. They are nothing fancy, just great quality spark plugs.
