2003 Road King Classic, 96 stroker kit, V&H Pro Pipe, and Fi2000 Power pro. At first I loved the Fi2000, Bike has *****. The bike starts to pings when riding it for about 15 mins. It doesn’t happen when rolling on it hard. just simply increasing speed gradually. It happens in third, fourth, and fifth gear. It has been a week since we contacted Cobra. Still no replies or answer. At this point I am going to remove it and get it dyno tuned. Anyone else have this problem?

Did you have the stroker kit and pipes prior to installing the Powerpro? Any other modifications before installing the Cobra?

Yes the stroker and pipes where on before installing the cobra. Cobra states that they have corrected the problem and will send the newer mod. to me. So far it has been week and still waiting.

I'm doing an ongoing PowrPro test for Phat Performance on my '06 Ultra. Note this is a model without ox sensors. So far, I've been pretty impressed, but I'm only on day 7 of having it installed.

Aaron48, I'm in sw Mn. I'm interested in reading your report on how it runs on your bike if you get one.

I already have one and I am very impressed with it so far. The unit offers such smooth response it's ridiculous. The idle is so much better, I have no flat spots, it never pops on decel, it finally runs right the way every sporty should run.

Default FI 2000 install Success

Hey Guys and Gals, just wanted to share my experience with the install of the Cobra FI 2000. I had Robert at MC Cycles in Montrose, Co to install it and it took him about 30-40 minutes. Immedaitely I noticed a hugh difference in throttle response. Check this out. I have a 2010 Fatboy-lo I installed a set of V&H Big radius longshot sttaggereds, along with a K&N high flow filter. Before install running stock I was getting about 165-175 mile per tank. Just came back from BBB in Arkansas 2400 miles round trip and am please to say I am now getting about 220 miles per tank. I have played with the adjustments just to get over the fear, they are simple and easy to optimize. Happy with mine? Yes. Thanks Robert at MC Cycles in Montrose, Co.

Sounds like you have the standard Fi-2000cl , this thread is about the Fi-2000 PowerPro...It has no adjustment screws on it. The PowerPro is a self tuning module.
