I don't have a loss of power at all.
In fact, the oil spray issue is pretty null at this point, which is awesome.
The only problem I have is a slight hesitation when first starting in the morning after a rain.

Default extra hoses for us damn californians

i live in california and out of all the stupid laws here one of them is the emissions law for bikes which requires a few extra hoses that come off the backing plate of the AC. I think one of the hoses routes the extra vapors from the AC down under the bike to that small canister under the bike. and the other hose brings the extra vapors from the carb into the AC.

my question is, i already yanked off the hose from the AC backing plate to the canister, can i get rid of the hose from the bottom of the carb that connects to the backing plate of the AC? i didnt want to rip that hose off and have any gas spew on the hot engine. (i have an associates degree in fire science, i know what happens when heat and gas are introduced)

I had the kit from Advanced Auto but I doubt there is any difference. Wierd that mine ran a bit rough with this kit. I'm debating getting a K&N filter, going to a figure machine or a joker, or just sticking with the ham can SE setup.

You'll need more fuel for sure. I went with the XiED add-on. It easily plugs in behind the 02 sensors. A two minute install and worked great.

Yeah I read a lot about those lil puppies
How long u been runnin with em? I hear they can screw up your motor long term.
A guy at the dealership says they suck, but that's prob shop talk!
Would love your feedback and what exhaust set up you got.

I guess I have been running them a month, so not very long. There are other guys here that have been running them longer.

Perhaps they are a short-term solution, because I do think I'd like to go to a full featured programmable tuner in the future when $$$ isn't an issue. I got my XiED's off of a buddy for $40.

As for my exhaust, I'm still shopping around so I'm running stock. They are nice and broke in, so they sound great, just aren't nearly as loud as I'd like them to be. But they do sound good.

I just can't make up my mind if I want something cool, crazy, custom like Led Sled exhaust or something modern and manufactured like Vance and Hines. I guess both routes have pros and cons.

Default Retune?

I want to run this set-up using X14ied's and stock pipes on a 2011 Sporty Custom. Do you think I'll need to retune?
