They are open; used the "old" breather bolts that are about 3" long, so I need to get some smaller ones...

Just finishing up this mod. Should I be using the Blue Loctite on the bolts that go into the throttle body? Not sure, thought I'd ask.

I'm glad someone resurrected this thread, this is exactly what i needed.
I'll make some mods on the idea, but it looks like a great project.
Also you can get some cotton gauze air filters that can be oiled on eBay pretty cheaply.

Yes, if you don't, the likelihood is high they will come loose, and possibly get sucked into your engine....that can get very expensive, and ruin some riding time!

Thanks! This is my first bike with fuel injection and I wasn't sure.

Looks good man.
I also like the "redneck machine shop" approach with the drill and the air cleaner cover. I do stuff like that myself.
