My first Harley.
Well I have been trolling for awhile asked a few questions and got some good answers. This is the horse in my stable. I got it from a guy who was a total dbag and I had the scatter ride home from the O.C after getting here. This guy said it was his daily driver yeah right. I took it on a test ride everything was all right until after I was heading home once on the freeway the speedo dropped out lights dimmed and starting bogging and missing left and right. I finally made it home and got to looking around some more noticed no air filter I thought when the guy said needs a new filter that that meant the old one was dirty nope it's gone. So I just take it to shop to have it looked at by a guy I know turns out I got railed no vasoline. Here's my list of headaches.
1. Front tire tube is done
2. Bad battery
3. Bad angle bank sensor
4. Bad ignition mod.
5. No air filter
6. Carb way off wack
7. Missing jets
So got a call today all parts in running again dyno tomorrow. So 800 dollars and a month later I'll have my bike back. Here's some pics
I have alot of plans and parts so hopefully I can start modding this weekend. The only thing I did was take off front fender and paint spokes cause front rim was rusted pretty bad. New rims are in my plans.

2000 still trying to figure out what's all going on with it as far as what's factory what's not. Supposedly 1200 kit , drag pipes? 21 inch front I have zbars for it. But the dyno will tell.

Congrats on the new ride.
Like was mentioned, when you get it in good running shape you're gonna know it a lot better...this is a good thing.

Your bike will be fun too once you get over the initial problems. Have fun. I bought a dog of a bike just to get back into riding. It was an 82 Kawasaki 750 in- line 4. Apparently the guy before me had been given the bike, all in a box and he put it together. The chain was all rusted, the seat was ripped, tires were bad. The rotors were all rusty, you name it. forget about serial numbers matching! He did get the engine tuned and carbs (4 of them) sync-ed. I had fun and learned lots and it ran like a dream after I did some work on it. I sold it for what I bought it for when I got my Sportster.
