Best way to lower shock or seat
Hello All
I am new to this forum and to Harley Davidson so I was hoping to get some feed back from all you experienced riders. I was look to buy a Nightster but as I am vertically challenged I would really like to lower it about an inch. From everything I have read I can do that two ways one buy a seat that would allow me to sit lower or change the shocks, here is the issue. everything I have read said that if you use shorter shock it’s a real rough ride and riding 2 up is probably out of the question or go to a lower seat which will kill my a$$ …. So here is the question which one would you chose and why I know both have draw backs but you guys would know better as which is the best route

I don't know or look at many seats. I do know that C&C Seats, (they are a forum sponsor here), will reshape and narrow a stock seat to any spec(s) you choose/tell them. I've heard good things about Progressive shocks, but I've heard even better things about throwing the air shocks on. I'm running Lick's 10" Short shocks right now, (not because I need them, but for the lower stance/looks), but I'm thinking of switching over to air shocks for the better ride.
