i have a 77 sporster with points and condenser. My problem is the points are cat walking up on the shaft and causing it to pop under throttle on occasion. What do i need to do to solve this problem?

 

I have 77 also. my advice change over to elec. ignition. never deal with points again. I did great upgrade.

 

What is cat walking?

 

+2 on the cat walking. ??? BTW Nice Sportster Blackcherry Low ... I had a 76 XLCH and it served me well.
