Default I started another project last night

I have some things going on outside of the garage that are keeping me from sleeping. Also, I'm the type of person that gets burnt out on a project when I feel overwhelmed.

My solution is to have multiple projects. Seems counter-productive but works very well for me. I get consumed by the small things throughout the build and once that part or section is installed I may not touch it for a week. Having multiple projects gives me the opportunity to change gears. So...I started another one last night.

I've been using this frame (that I have a clean title for) to mock things up.

Last night I didn't feel like working on my current projects so I pulled out the Led Sled section I picked up the other day.

[IMG][/IMG]

I clamped pieces of angle to the rear motor mount on my frame and rear section to measure for the cuts. You can see where I marked them with the yellow tape.

[IMG][/IMG]

I was going to make a motor mount fixture but I have this homeless motor so that's what I used.

[IMG][/IMG]

Then cut the frame...garage style.

[IMG][/IMG]

Here's the part I cut off. You can see where I widened it for a 200mm tire when I went through my short-lived shiney phase.

[IMG][/IMG]

This was my first attempt at positioning the front half but after a few ***-puckering moments I moved my operations back to the floor.

[IMG][/IMG]

I drilled plug weld holes in the stock frame then the rear section slid right together for the most part. The only thing that was a struggle was aligning all 3 tubes at the same time. Once I figured out where the hold up was a little adjusting with a 6" C-clamp got things moving again.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

Dug around and found some motor mount bolts and they cinched everything tight.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

I haven't welded anything yet. I'm going to cut some pieces of angle and tack them over the frame transitions to make sure everything is square. So for now I rolled it over to its new home with the rest of my bike projects.

[IMG][/IMG]

It was alot of fun and helped keep my mind off of life in the real world.

Thanks for looking!

Nice work! I feel you on the multiple projects thing. That orange car in the background looks like a beast.
