Default Need help with my 95 883

Ok I brought this bike from an old guy and he let it sit for a while but my problem is when I ride it and I keep the throttle steady it gets real choppy ! I found out the guy had the baffles punched ! So I took apart the carb and I put a 170 main jet in and a 42 idle and the bike runs a little better but now I get terrible gas mileage I have a 2 gal peanut tank and I get 35 miles to the tank !!!!!!!! Also there's this hissing noise coming from the back of the carb !!! And it's annoying any help guys?

You need to post your question in the Sportster section of the forum. Good luck with it.

Check timing before you go crazy trying to figure out a carb issue. Takes all of 5 minutes to check and it'll rule out that possibility.
