Pics of my wife's sportster

Thanks,
I got the bars and the chrome speedometer housing from Debrix cycles. This is the link to the bars...

They're $79. They were both dimpled and drilled... I told the wife I wasn't going to mess with internally wiring them... but when the time came, I just couldn't bring myself not to do it right. But there were a couple issues... First, the throttle end of the bars (the very end, like the last 1/8" or so) was bigger around than the rest of the grip area. Big enough that it interfered with the throttle motion. But a couple minutes with a die grinder (or a dremel) fixed that. I just took off about .015-.020" and it was fine.
Second, note that the bars are 1.25" diameter.. and there is a bevel on the right side so that the front brake master cylinder will fit. But again, I had to take about .020" off of the upper part of the bevel before I could get the master cylinder to fit correctly when it was up against the step in the bars.
All this only took about 15 or 20 minutes. But I did have to go through the chrome in those areas. I put a layer of clear spray enamel over that area just to add some extra rust prevention. It's no big deal, and with the throttle and brake master cylinder installed, you can't see any of the work I did. But that's the difference between a pair of $79 bars and a pair costing three or four times that much. But I wasn't entirely convinced my wife was going to like that shape or position, so I went the less expensive route just in case. I'd do it again, all things considered though... they look good enough now and I enjoy working on bikes. I have to say... the quality of the chrome finish was better than I expected at this price. Same with the speedo housing... I think that was less than $30, and it works and looks great.
