Default Lighted Mirror Install Questions

I installed a pair of the Harley-Davidson lighted mirrors yesterday on 08 S Sportster 1200 low. Every time I turned the ignition own it blows the 15 amp accessory fuse. Is this an indication of a short or is it an indication of the need for a bigger fuse?

Any help given will be appreciated.

Could be either. What are they rated at? Do they have on/off switches?

Do they go on without trouble with the key on but then blow when the starter kicks?

Might need to trace your wires and double check e everything

Have you tried turning them on after the bike was running?

You have a short.
Assuming that you haven't added anything else with a big load to the existing lighting circuit, there is enough amps left on the existing circuit/fuse for the lighted mirrors.

Thanks for all the help guys. The lights do not have a separate on/off switch and the only other accessory added was a L.E.D. Taillight.

It must be some type of ground issue. The "Y" harness works fine when installed, but everytime a mirror is connected the fuse blows. The was only one wire running from each morror and the instructions were not very clear about grounding. I did run a ground wire from each mirror, but must still have something wrong. Going through a lot of 15A fuses testing.
