Question Need help with front end on my iron please.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help or give me advice on the following.....

I have a 2010 XL883N. I wanted to install/upgrade to a wider front tire. I wanted to install the same 16" wheel that I have in the rear on the front also and run 150 tire on the front too. I am trying to maintain the stock rake and the 39mm forks. What are the parts that I would need?

1. New triple tree - but from what?
2. Wheel, tire - same as iron 883 rear
3. fender - from 48?
4. Will I need different axle?
5. Can I still use stock front brake?

Any suggestions / advices / warnings / cautions will be welcome and great appreciated.

Thanks,
Bernard

Look at one of Mreeds posts. He filed some off the forks and added a pretty wide front tire. It looks pretty cool.

yeah, either the mreed way, or convert to Mid-Glide trees (what the 48 uses) or Wide trees if you want it really wide.

there are Narrow to Mid glide conversion sets (basically just the wider trees), and these can be had from several vendors (J&P Cycles, and others).
