Well im 6'1" 330lbs... i live in I work in Jersey City , NJ, (long story short my commute is loaded with pot holes and uneven roads) power wise there is no issue what so ever, i never feel bogged out or worried about getting on highways. Suspension is a different story... i bottom out a lot with all the messed up roads and potholes.... when i cruise in the nicer areas, i never bottom out on any of your average bumps, or dips in the road. Plus a 1200 conversion usually only runs a little over $1000.00 with labor, that's not bad at all in my opinion.

I am limited to whatever I can trade the bike for at this point, which puts me into Metric territory because they can't sell those damn things. My wife swore up and down that the only way I would own a bike is if I won one. Well, I showed her!
Don't sweat nothin' else then. You got a great machine. Add some highway peds so your feet can stretch out....and your stylin'

Since you now posses the bike by the wife rules just rebuild it to suit.

Not trying to aggrivate anyone, FYI. Just my 2 cents. I passed a guy who was probably close to 300 lbs on a softtail this morning. I thought he was too big for that bike as well. It's the Chris Farley "fat guy in a little coat" thing. But hey - what do I know? I really don't. Just an opinion.

You're in Pasadena. If you're ever around Kingwood or Humble with the bike let me know. Or if you need help wrenching on something - I got everything you could need here. Hope to see you around sometime

I'm 200 pounds, and have been quite happy with my superlow. Since you won it, I say go out and ride it. Then decide. As long as you keep the rubber down, you're not going to lose much trade value.

He's referring to the proportion, I thought. Bike to person. A 300 lb guy looks ridiculous on a little bike. Sportsters are LITTLE. Doesn't matter what a manual or owner's guide says. If someone looks stupid on a bike, they look stupid. GVWR in your specs says 1000 lbs. So a 450 lb guy should ride one? UMMMMM, NO!!!!!!!!!!!
