We traded the wife's 1200 Low in on a Softail Deuce for myself.....She is now the owner of my 48. Did a ton of "reverse" mods on it to make it suit her a little better. She HATED how loud it was, so I took off the V&H Shortshots and put the stock pipes back on. Painted the heat shields to break it up a bit. Also put her ginormous Mustang seat on it, added back the sprocket cover (and a few other covers I ripped off), pulled the bars back about 6 inches, and took off the custom tank I had on it and replaced it with a Nightster tank. She loves it! I have to admit, it looks pretty good. Not my style though, but I'm very happy that she likes it so much. She says it is WAY easier to handle than her 1200 Low was. Very happy. Seems to run great, was worried I would have to have it remapped because of the SE Super Tuner installed on it. Doesn't seem to be a problem though.....I will probably put the pipes and the alligator spring solo seat up for sale very soon......
looks good, except that nighty tank shows the wire mess on the backbone bigtime. doesn't bother her? that would drive me nuts. looks good, enjoy that turd you're riding now, lol.
