Fork oil weight - Racetech Springs
I am planning on ordering some Racetech single rate front fork springs (spring rate .90kg/mm for my weight) soon for my iron 883. For those that run the race tech springs, what weight fork oil are you using? I don't plan on using the emulators (maybe some feedback on those who have ran theses springs with/without the emulators?..)
Thanks!
Thanks!

I went to racetech and did a search on this.
You have to fill out a form and they will email you with an answer.
I would think (educated guess) that you could start with 10wt first with most damper forks , and at worst , you might be off only slightly up or down.
I run 7wt with progressive stock replacement front springs , and it's about on the edge of too soft , even at my rider weight of <> 170lbs.
I could safely go with 10wt anyway.
I'd be curious what racetech says if you inquire on this.

new springs and emulators call for this
http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...?code=STLQT-EA
with out the emulators most people go to this and work back
http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...?code=STMQT-EA
from all the folks I have spoken to about a 50/50 mix of each works perfect..(ie., 7.5 weight) for someone around 160-170- lbs.
