You are going to get the usual rake/trail comments. From what I understand as long as you don't go stupid it should still ride/handle ok. Not as good as stock but its your money so do what you want.

don't do this to your nightster. if you must, do it right and chop the frame or have a shop do it for you. don't install some hokey *** rake kit.

IMO the kits do not look as good as a true racked frame and a sporty does not look good racked out unless you have a fat rear tire kit on it.

There was another thread exactly like this a few days ago. That one also seemed to have a higher number of people who thought the "chopper kits" didn't look very good.
On the other hand, some people must like them because they keep making them.
But to me, they look cheesey.

Add me to the non-fan list of the rake kit/long forks look.

Here's a pic of a Nightster I found.

I don't disagree with you about the org/blk Nightster in your pics. Doesn't suit my taste at all. On the other hand, here's one that I think looks pretty nice. But that's just me.

And I probably won't do that to mine.

I HATE those "chopper kits". I'd much rather see a guy either rake and stretch their frame or buy an aftermarket frame.
