Default Bike is cutting off at idle

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here and I'm having trouble with my bike. 2006 Sportster 1200C. I just recently bought it, and found out that after maybe 50-100 miles it cuts off at idle while riding almost as if it were out of gas. When i open the tank it shows plenty of gas, but wont start back up unless i switch to reserve and pull the choke out. When i go fill up after this issue, the bike fills up after only like 1.3 gallons of gas. Its a 4.5 gallon tank, so I have no clue what the issue is. I've put some seafoam in it once, but problem being the gas isnt completely getting used, so the treatment itsnt being completed. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to what the culprit may be. Thanks in advance.

Check your vacuum line to your fuel petcock.

no, the bike is almost completely bone stock. except for the jet kit and slip on vance and hines exhaust. i can research the vaccum line on the petcock, would you say there may be a clog or something in that? would that be something simple to take care of on my own (considering im a beginner) or take in to the shop?

Why does it have a jet kit in the carb if you didn't change the breather?

to be honest i dont know what the breather is, i just recently bought the bike and am going off the upgrades the previous owner said was put on. is that something that could be contributing to the problem at hand?
