Default Lepera Barebone solo seat, anyone?

I have been searching the XL forum and here, try to find some info on this Barebone solo. I heard good and bad things about it, it looks excellent but some people claim the seat is really uncomfortable. What I want is a solo seat, it has to look good. I understand good looking doesn't always mean comfy. By the way my weight is 160, height 5'8. Any input will be great! Alex

Can't help you with LePera's Bare Bones, but I put on a Mustang Vintage Solo (NOT wide) and love it! VERY much more comfortable than stock...

I got the mustang vintage standard solo on about a month ago also. And I love it. Before I decided on the mustang I was really looking at the lapera seats, but I heard to many bad reveiws on comfort. I decided to put comfort first and looks second. I can ride the mustang all day long with no problem, and I care a lot more about riding than standing around looking at the bike. Plus the vintage mustang looks pretty nice too.

One of my friends had one on her bike, and she hated it...

Thanks guys! It's hard to find a good balance, look good and comfy. What about this Brawler and Low-profile? I like the Brawler solo but little pricey, again I am not sure how my @ss fits lol, the other looks more comfy but little too thick. Thanks Alex

I like the brawler as well, your right it is pricey, I was thinking of going with the barebone and switching back to the stockl seat for long rides.

My choice of solo seat is the Le Pera Daytona Sport LT Series. I like the way it looks and it is very comfortable.

My buddy has the barebones with the gel instead of the standard foam cushion and he swears by it. I have sat on it and it was comfortable for a low profile seat, but I didn't put any miles on it,just driveway admiring.

I had the barebones when I had my 1200. The look is excellent and it really feels like it changes the riding position. Depending on the distance you ride it will either work just fine or you'll learn to hate it. I left the bare bones on when I took the bike in to trade it for my glide. Went to Destination Daytona to get the new bike which is about a three hour ride from where I live. By the time I got there on the bare bones I knew for sure I was going to trade the bike because there was no way I was going to ride that far on that seat again.
