Lowbrow coversion for an Iron?
Howdy,
I have a 2011 883 Iron, and while I love the thing, I want more power. I was looking online at Lowbrow Customs at the 1200 conversion kits (http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/index...._detail&p=1427) but I'm wondering: Is this safe for a 2011 Sportster? I've read that conversion kits can actually destroy the engine, and I dont really want that to happen. The gov't doesnt pay me enough to replace an engine... I have seen the S.E. kit that HD sales, but again, 1200 bucks is a little too rich for my blood, and I'd rather buy aftermarket. Any help that anyone can provide is much appreciated.
Have a goodun'.

I have read many on here and on XLforum.net that have a lot of luck with NHRS. Hammer performance also seems to be a good way to go if you are doing a conversion. They are a little less expensive but still not cheap. I haven't read any reviews on the lowbrow custom kit. My suggestion is to do some forum searching. I am sure someone has tried this kit before.
In the long run if you go with a quality kit it won't destroy your engine.

I went with the SE kit since it also included the 1200XL heads. If you go through Zanotti's you can score the entire kit for $970 shipped, but if not I'd go with the NRHS 1250 kit only for the outstanding service Dan will provide you.
