Thanks cHarley and BMSteve for puttin up the red flags. Had to go on to the east side of Savannah to Advance Auto to find the M1 lube. They had it in abundance. I've already changed it out and she's ready to go. Blessings guys.

In response to your post...I use it in my engine and primary, and redline heavy shockproof in tranny with great results... however, I'm inclined to conclude that ingesting premium synthetic oil would almost certainly CAUSE me to have an "imperfect ****"

I use syn 3 in the primary. And whatever synthetic 20 50 I can get on sale. Last time I used Lucas 20 50 for the engine. No problems here.

I did my 1000 mile service this weekend and used Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w50 for both the engine and primary, and here is what I've noticed:

Smoother shifting (both up and down)
Neutral to first "clunk" is a bit reduced
Clunk from an imperfect **** is reduced
Engine runs 8-12 degrees cooler for the same speed, gear, fuel, and ambient temps versus HD dino oil
Clockwork sound of the engine (sewing machine sound) is slightly increased

Not wanting to start another big oil thread, just reporting that on my particular bike, at the 1000 mile mark I'm very pleased with this oil.

In 3000 miles I'll change it out, get a Blackstone analysis done, and post the detailed analysis here as a followup.
I was glad to see this post. Bought an 06' Dyna Low Rider with 8900 miles. Was thinking of using Mobil 1 VTwin for engine, primary, and tranny for the 10,000 mile change. Now I'm going that route.

i was using mobile 20/50 in both holes, but just installed a energy one clutch which recommends formula + HD petroleum based, non-syn-thetic, primary oil, as light weight as possible, or even a good petroleum based motor oil such as 10/40 or 20/50
in weight. You can even use ATF Type F or B&M Trickshift, just not sure what is the best over all option, as far as what i can find at a auto zone/ walmart/dealer

FWIW, I'm going to try plain-jane Ford ATF type F. Find it anywhere,
or at least you used to be able to....

If you want the TrickShift, you'll probably have to order it from Summit
or Jeggs.
