Default More comfortable seat on a Forty Eight

I am looking for a more comfortable ride out of my Forty Eight with the stock seat. Does anyone have suggestions on a new solo seat?

Any help appreciated.

No seats to recommend, but check out www.meancitycycles.com . They can make the stock seat more comfortable.

Didn't have them mod my 48 seat, but they did a Nightster seat for me and it made a big difference. Now Im wishing I wouldn't have sold my 48 seat before talking to them.

They did the seat on my 48. I didn't notice much of a difference at first, but it seems to be getting better the more miles I put on it. I had them do 2" memory foam with a gel pad.

I actually found the stock seat comfortable enough, just hated sliding off the back of it every time I hit the throttle. I was wondering if they could give it more of a sitting pocket to keep you in place. They said they could to an extent, but there wasn't much there to work with. So I ended up getting the memory foam mod on a Nightster seat instead. They did some reshaping to the back of it and slimmed it down a good bit too. Overall Im much happier with the comfort and appearance of the seat now.

I, too, am looking for more comfortable seat. My *** goes numb from it in about 30 min. & I'm constantly sliding towards the rear. It's probably because I have noassatall syndrome!!!

Nightster. And there is one for sale on the classifieds section for $60... well, it was $60, I think he lowered the price since then.

Yes, razor blades glued on the bike......sharp side up would be more comfortable. I took mine on a 100 mile trip shortly after getting it. I was just about in tears it hurt so bad. I got a mustang seat, yes it takes a little away from the intended look of the 48 but dam its comfortable. I took a 400 mile round trip with it, I knew I had been riding all day but I wasnt it pain.
