'Best' is an over-used word! We each have a different idea of what that may be. Certainly for a road bike stroking is not common, simply because there are so many kits for increasing the bore, along with other tuning mods, such as porting the heads. That can be done relatively cheaply without dismantling the crankcases and there are many brands available. Hammer probably get most support in here amongst recent members and there are several excellent threads on doing the upgrade, complete with photos and comprehensive details.
