Post some more pics please....Im lookin for an upgrade to some apes....you recommend 16" apes for a comfortable ride...Btw im 6'0"

I'll have to take some more. I'm 5'10" and the 14"ers are fine. 16" would even be ok. At your height, you should be more than comfortable.

Bars look great. I'm a HUGE ape fan - obviously. There are a few threads (don't have them bookmarked but you can search for them) detailing how to keep the bars from moving. I always use the max torque on the bars whether knurled or not.

they look great dude. loved my gimps too just felt like a fuking windsail on the HW so they had to go. bike looks good.

The bends in those bars are cool. Looks great!
To hold 'em in place, you could pin them. It will eliminate the option of re-positioning them. Some guys use emory cloth. You gotta watch the torque on the clamps. Aluminum threads will strip out.

^^^never had a problem with my coming loose, just torqued them down really good. no emory cloth or pin although i heard of both.

A small piece of inner tube rubber in the clamps has always worked well for me on non-knurled bars.

I'm gonna try the emory cloth. They moved again on me this w/e. I torque them before every ride, and don't want to strip them out....

How do you properly do it? Just wrap the bars w/ it and tighten up?

what kind of seat is that you have on you N? oh and i have 16" drag spec's in black ( non-knurled ) and i could not imagine going back to factorys now... bike lookes good man!
