Default Springer front end 2009 Sportster

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am trying to find a springer front end for my new sportster, but all I am finding out is that there is not one for that new of bike due to the frame being changed. If anyone knows where I can get one or knows of anybody that would be willing to customize one for me I would sure appreciate it.

Check with Jerry Springer (sp?) I know, sounds made up, I think that was the site, they specialize in springer front ends. Just as a note, if the front fits on a dana, it should fit a sportster, the two bikes have the same front end.

Welcome to the site first of all.

Secondly, search this section for "Springer Front end". That will get you a lot of info. There's been a few that have done it, but it takes some cutting to get it to work on the 04 and newers. Good luck.

Thanks for all the help. Bike will be ready on the 6th. I will post pictures and details as soon as I get back from riding it. I will tell you that it wasnt easy, but what fun would it have been if it was. Yes, it will be a springer. I can tell you that much.

I just checked the website. Pretty damned cool. About $2000 cool. But cool none the less. I've always thought HD should offer a springer from the factory.

I can get a full rundown on how and where once I pick up the bike. I can tell you that I did not spend the $2k for it. I bought the older one for $650 and had a few things changed to make it work. I did have to buy the front brake caliper for it, which was another $450.

We for sure need to see some pictures when your done. I'm anxious to see it. What do you mean you got an older one? What did they have to do to make it work?
