2011 Nightster Battery removal
My ride is a '07 SG.. my wife rides a 2011 Nightster
Here is my question: Is there a easier way to remove the battery from the bike? She went to start it this morning and the battery was dead. Is it safe to charge the battery while it is still hooked up to the bike and is so, should I pull the main fuse before charging it on the bike?
Thanks
Jim

No problem charging the battery while it is in the bike.....no different than having a trickle charger / battery tender (which I highly recommend if she is not riding it very often so you won't have to worry about a dead battery again) on it.
Just open the battery cover and hook the positive cable of the charger to the positive battery terminal. Then take the negative cable for the charger and on the same side just behind the rear cylinder and starter on the primary cover is a ground lug...just clamp that there and you are good. This is how I keep my battery tender connected so I don't have to remove the battery to get to the negative battery terminal.
