Yes, as long as you get a tall enough windshield for the Batwing based on your height. Just like regular shields, the shields for the Batwing come in various sizes.

There are some that hate it and some that love it. It is a personal preference. Fairings are functional and not only for looks....but you need to want that look. I love my fairings...it has quick-release clamps so if I want wind in my face, I just remove them.....same with my bags. Versatility is the name of the game for me. Good luck!

Impressive paint job Dee!
Hoppe Fairings are still available, and this is the cheapest Sportster/DYNA version (they don't have any pictures from the front!!) :

Pricey, but that's life. I'd like a batwing on my Sportster but most look odd 'cso they sit so high. Maybe I'll have to look again.

Cheers,

Chris

What are your thoughts about a bat wing fairing going on a Sportster?

Yeah man go for it Memphis shades here in the USA makes pretty good one for sportsters I think I've seen one on the site. Ive thought about it myself once or twice. But I just don't want to make the sportster to be something that's not actually.. so the more I think about upgrading my Sportster the more I think about just buying another motorcycle... And because buying another motorcycle isn't quite in the cards I'm kind of stuck between a rock and hard place lol

This got me thinking - and researching. I never got a batwing 'cos, to my eye, they can look kinda goofy as they often sit so high on the bars (not the screen, the fairing body). The only one that might look okay (to me) is the HPConcept SM Fairing - but it's a killer price!

Others don't seem so nice to me:

Memphis Shades Sportster Batwings: (Nice paint though!)

Unknown fairing, not my cup-of-tea at all:

Unknown dual-headlight fairing:

There are a few more HPConcept pictures on the site.

Interesting, if you got the dosh!

Cheers,

Chris

Question

'Yer 'tiz...

HPConcept (Blue)

HPConcept (Black)

Memphis Shades (nice paint!)

Memphis Shades (Black)

Unknown (looks ugly to me though)

Unknown Dual-Headlight

Definitely the HPConcept SM Fairing - though at about £2k, it's not on the cards just yet.

Cheers,

Chris
