Default Relocating the rear mastercylinder (pre 04)

I do alot of these so I figured I'd share some pics.

If you have removed the sprocket cover (and have forward controls) you'll need to find another way to mount the master cylinder. I'm sure there are 100 ways to do this but this is what I've found to be the easiest.

It's simply 2 pieces of angle welded together and then shaped with the flap wheel on a 4" grinder.

Replace 2 of the bolts in the cam cover with grade 8 all thread, slide on the bracket and secure with nuts. I use acorn nuts to keep it clean. You may need to cut a couple spacers to use between the bracket & cam cover to help align the plunger with the pedal. I use a stock mid control clevis to attach the pedal to the master cylinder and that's it.

I've done these to convert rear mechanical drum brakes to modern hydraulic, for better fitment of custom pipes and just for looks...

Thanks.

Great idea. If I were mounting forward controls I would make this mod.

Thanks but I cheated. A friend of mine made an attachment for his mill table that a cam cover bolts to. It was basically just watching it happen after that.
