Default Side mount plate holder?

The tail light is awesome and cleans up the back end for sure...BUT...

Does anyone know who makes the side mount license plate in the pics that HOGdiver posted on the previous page?
The license plate holder on the black arm mounted from the fender rail covers?
That is a great addition to help clean up the back end for sure!

A $3.00 light off eBay and some ShooGoo...hell of a lot cheaper than what the MoCo wants for theirs.
How did you wire it up. I haven't played much with leds and wanted to make my own

I had this brake light on my 07 XLC with a chopped fender. It looked nice and installed easily, but I would never want it as my only brake light like some of these guys are running it. It's not the brightest thing in the world, but I was running it with a brake/run/turn module along with my rear signals so I had 3 brake lights.

Default Chopped Fender Edge Tail Light

[QUOTE=lumberjacker;9320628]Chopped Fender Edge Light 73420-11

anyone tried one of these? i was wondering how hard it is to put on yourself?

It's not hard to installed them yourself, I just did mine today (it take about 30 min max). Some comes with interconnect adapter, that plugs into the main wire from the battery to the side brake/signal light wires. Some just comes with the tail light w/black, green, and red wires. Just get a quick splice connector ($5.00 at Amazon) and splice it with the Black, Blue/yellow, and red wires and you're good to go. Just don't
forget to secure the wire under the fender (I used 3M tape to secure them, it should hold just fine, if you don't have the clips w/adhesive on the back.

Default Amazon Version Clearance issues

I bought one of Amazon and it didn't last 24 hours, and that is because I didn't have the proper tire clearance on my 48. Does the Harley one have enough clearance?

Mine works great. I have Custom Dynamics signals too and the y all wired up just fine. Comes with a proper harness and just plug and play.

Has anyone wired a different brake light for their harley 48? I bought a brass taillight but can't figure out how to wire it. Thought I could wire it to one of the rear turn signals but my bike was reading an error

I just installed one of these and there is barely enough clearance to get my fingers in there.

I do have shorter shocks, has anyone else had this issue? Maybe I bought the wrong light?
