Default Wheel swap question????

Will 883 super low five star split wheels swap out with iron wheels?
I like the 883 wheels better and the tire and wheel size appeals to me.
Aside from the front fender may not fit correct and needing new tires, are the axle size and spacers and whatever else the same?

Thanks for any helpful input.
Iron has 16 and 19
Superlow is 17 and 18

45 views and no response? Theoretically it seems simple if axle and spacers are the same size right? I just want sportbike style tired instead of the traditional Harley tire.

Gotta be a mechanic in here that can chime in

Anyone with answers will also ask what year models you are trying to swap to and from.

WTF if we all searched and never started new post this place would be dead.

Wish I had the answer for ya on the wheel swap. But to put it bluntly anything can be done with the right tools and parts.

ah well....i think it can be done...the front fender obiviously would need some modding becuz going from a 19 to a 18 incher, but im gonna do it as soon as i find some superlow wheels...not everyones cup of tea i guess, but we all have our own opinions...ill keep u posted on how things go

I haven't seen any posts on doing this, however Harleys use a common wheel geometry across most of the range of bikes.

You can help yourself by doing some basic measurements on your bike, then visiting your local friendly dealer and measuring up a SuperLow on his showroom floor. Check things like width of swingarm, rear hub between pulley and rotor, front fork width etc, you can work others out.

I wouldn't be surprised if you find they swap straight over.

I want a set of the SuperLow wheels for my 1200R as well. If I end up with any I will most likely have to buy new from a dealer. I have no doubt the wheels will fit if the proper spacers are used, and a dealer can tell you exactly which ones are needed.
