Brobocop,

Did you have any luck getting in touch with TxBandit? I'm also 6'4 looking for some extensions on my 48. I'm very interested in finding some.

Thanks

I have not gotten in touch with him yet. It said his last login was well over two months ago. I wanted the 48 but my legs were just way too long...Such a sweet lookin bike.

Jackal, I believe I have a Stage 1 kit..It has the screamin eagle air filter with the stock looking casing except it says "screamin eagle" on it. Everything on the bike was installed by the dealer. When I get home from vacation I can look at the receipts that the seller gave me and give you a better idea.

Here is his email address: steelsmithtroy -at- yahoo.com
If you care to, mention that I sent ya.

If you have the dealer download for stage-1 and (especially) if you are already running a more open airbox and freer flowing filter than stock, then you will be fine. It's just that the dealer download helps compensate for these upgrades, but still calls for 14.6 or 14.7 AFR which is too lean and your bike may run hotter / pop than it currently does. I'd recommend a tuner of sorts over the dealer download if at all possible.

If you want to save money over the FM unit, look into DK Custom's Outlaw line.

Damn, a lot of that is chinese to me... I'm trying to learn as much as I can, but I'm not sure what the dealer download etc. is...I'm pretty sure that he had the dealer put in the tuner, exhaust and air filter, so I guess I would have the 'dealer download.' If it's already on there, is there any way I can get the air filter and take it back to the dealer and have them re tune it or something?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I am trying to learn as much as I can about all this.

Thanks for his email!

My bike has a V&H 2-1, SE stage 1, like yours and an X14IED. I haven't spent any money on downloads or tuners. Bike runs great. If I find extra money I might get a tuner.

Do you have the orange SEPST race tuner? If not you prob. have stock tuning or stage-1 dealer download at best. IMO, if you want the intake you should also look into a tuner. I would prefer Power Vision, but it's not cheap. IF you go XIED, I would also make sure I had a stage 1 dealer download. Just my my opinion.

This is what I have, and I don't think I got the cables from the seller, but I will be going back for the title in a week. I think this is the same as the orange one, but it was black in '08.

I do get popping on deceleration a bit and I suppose this has something to do with the tuning (or lack there of)?
