I think they are essentially the same thing. Price-wise, it made sense to me to do what I did on my pipes....

Like SF said the do the same thing, but the cones go in the exhaust port and the lollie pops go in the pipes like SF showed you. have you ran the bike with just the drags? You might like the sound and I doubt it will run bad. I have open pipes on my bike and it runs great, but then agian it is tuned for them. If you want lollie pops you can make them yourself from stuff fromt Lowes or Home Depot for a few bucks.

I was in your exact situation a couple of years ago, I converted to straight drags, lost a little midrange and my bike sounded loud and "to me" awesome, but others complained that it was harsh and deafening even to the point they wouldn't ride near or behind my pipes. I put an eyebolt in the ends and just that little $1.40 modification added some midrange and cut some harshness out of the sound. Worth the 5 minutes (that includes the time it took to go get a beer) and the $1.40.

Forgot to add...you put a nut on the eyebolt, feed it through the hole in your pipe (after pullig the baffles of course) and then add another nut on the bottom and tighten with a wrench on the top and bottom bolt. Make sure the eye is facing you though you can turn it a bit to "tune" it. Eventually you may want to locktight the thing in place if you're happy with it.

I did the same, one of my baffles feel out so I took the other out and did the lolipops. They worked great and you can tune them (turning the washers to increase or decrease flow) without taking the pipes off. They really are a win win.

I didn't notice much of a change with torque cones... lollipops are a much better idea.. here is mine:

Do you put them up near the head or closer to the end of the pipe or does it matter?

I read to put the lollipops in the last 6" of the pipe.

The farther up in the pipe you can get them the better. Farther up in the pipe helps to make the sound deeper, less harsh. Because of physical limitations you can probably not get them too deep.

You should be able to use your stock baffle hole.
