I really like the 1970s chopper look with a modern 1200 engine. Not sure id trade my Nightster for it though. Anyway i hope it lasts.

Also it looks like a great platform for those who like to do mods. Let the customizing begin.

I got to play with one today. honestly. I think its just another bar hopper (stock anyways). And it lists just under $12K.

I demo rode a nice red 72 last weekend at Daytona sweet bike really like the front end and the rear fender very nice set up little pricey sure but what isn't? Put that front end, tank, headlight, forward controls, and the rest of the tins with that nice flake paint job it would cost you more than what the 72 comes in at.

I have not seen a 72 in person yet, but hope to soon. From what I see it's a nice looking bike and a lazy man's custom/bar hopper. What I mean is it's kinda like a Nightster or Iron. The main work is already done so all you have to do it make it more your own, remove all the stock reflectors and crap like that, get a nice AC and pipes-Bam! you have a nice bar hopper that is new and under warranty.

I bought a '04 1200XLC new and rode it eight years. Two weeks ago I traded it in for a '12 72 in metalflake. The 72 is awesome. It's not quite as fast as the 04 yet, but it's in the works. It's amazing how much power a free flowing breather and non stock pipes (complete sexhaust sytem) will produce. ('04 =89hp and 88ft.lb) I've already ditched the cheasy reflector on the back along with the upper belt guard. Added python slip ons with 1/2 baffle cut off and added a 30in. sissy bar, pad and passenger pillion.
