You could be right! I didn't think of that. Is there an easy way to tap a cheap *** AutoZone RPM gauge into this baby so I can check it?

most automotive tachs are for 4,6,8 cylnder engines. there is a tach signal wire on your bike to install a tach but im not sure where it is without looking at a wiring diagram.

IF you had bought yourself a unit that could do the full range of adjustment would this be the nature of your question?

No I think his question was about idle screw initially, and I believe his question was answered.
I brought up the subject of his fuel control device asking him if the Cobra unit might be making the
idle smoother by correcting his fuel mixture.
