Default Is this something to be concerned about?

Just bought a used Mustang Wide seat with the back seat and back rest. It is for my year bike. I'd like to be able to use it mostly solo, but there is at least a 1/2" gap around the edges, exposing the wiring. Am I missing something here?

Coming from the stock seat, it's normal to see a little more wire under the front of the seat, but I don't have anything like that gap you're showing in the back.
