The recommended pressures are 30 front, 36 rear solo on mine. Track bikes can run in the mid 20's on the track depending on the tire. For street use I wouldn't stray too far from recommended pressure. Especially if you do any touring or freeway driving. I don't know how you ride or how often you check your tires or what brand or your weight so I couldn't make a good answer. Since I live in constant pain from from imprudent riding I would say be careful.

another thing you need to be careful of is if you run lower pressures the tires will get hotter as you ride, so if you ride short trips that is not a problem, but if you go on a long highway trip you may experience a blow out...

30 psi in the front and 40 psi in the rear is all I ever run and it seems good to me.
