i know shortshots are probably my loudest option, but i don't want to change out the whole exhaust just yet...

are there any slip ons out there which are close to sounding as good as the shortshots?

Vance & Hines will NEVER disapoint

I tried Screamin Eagle single pipes. I tried Screamin Eagle dual pipes. Cycle Shack crap, and then put Vance & Hines Straightshots on it. And BOOOOOOM end of story

Why not, if you want pipes then why spend over half the money on slip on's that you will remove when you get pipes. just do a full set up pipes and be done with it. I hate the look of the stock exhaust set up and slip on's keep that look. My bike had SE slip on when I got it and hated them, the 2008 1200C I had last year had RUSH slip on's and it sounded ok-a;ot lounder than stock, but still had that muffler look and soun, but I am an open pipe guy so no slip on will ever make me happy.
