high RPM misfire

high RPM misfire
i jetted my carb and did the mreed air filter, I set my air/fuel screw to 2 1/2 turns out and I replaced the spark plug wires with braided wires, when I get on the throttle at high RPM's the bike studders and seems like a mis...I am thinking it could be the plug wires, but I wanted to be sure that it was not being caused by the air/fuel screw....does anyone know if the air/fuel ratio could cause a misfire? could it be there is not enough fuel getting to the cylinders?

The mixture screw really only affects the fuel up to about 1/4 throttle input.
Is it actually missing, or just feels like a lack of power? If you get on it at high RPM with 3/4+ throttle and it sort of falls flat or lacks pull, your main jet is probably too big. If it is sketchy and erratic, too lean.

Yea dude, you were right, I went from a 195 that was in the carb to a 175 and it solved the problem....my next question is do you think this will be too lean? I pulled the plugs before I changed the jet and they were already a greyish white.... that was with the 195 jet, do you think the 175 will be too lean?

It's probably fine. The insulation shouldn't really show any color. They don't really get brown like the old days unless you're running really really rich because they are not made of the same material anymore. I had a dyno run where the AFR was 10.8 and the insulation was still bone white.
Look at the ring around the plug, the base ring. It should be light black/grey, but not sooty or flaky. The electrode should not really look worn and change color about halfway along its length.
These look really good.
