V&h 2-1: Blackout vs Competition
Anyone have opinions on these two VH exhausts? I've watched hundreds of videos, which don't help too much. And I can't find any around here to check out in person. I know the Competition is a nice pipe, but it's twice the price as the Blackout. I'm looking for something that's reasonably loud with a deep tone to it.
I like the Bassani Firesweeps too but I'm not ready to go to forward controls yet.
I'm open to any other suggestions as well as I think I've checked out too many now and beyond confused.

Do you feel like you got enough of a sound upgrade out of that one? I don't need to wake the neighborhood up, but I would like to get that little satisfied devilish grin when I fire it up.

Had mine on over a year. The bike has more torque than running stock and feels and looks good. The sound is definitley deeper and more noticable to those sharing the road with you. It is loud, but not overbearing. I have ridden next to a bike w Short Shots and the shorts are louder.
I have spoken with my neighbors, they do hear when I roll out at 5AM but they say it is not obnoxiously loud. We have a bike in the neighborhood running straightpipes that are just too much and these pipes are just about right.

They are loud enough for my taste. It a deep rumble rather than the loud pop some bikes make. I thought of putting a baffle in out of concern about the neighbors, but after listening to it from 1/2 a block away I decided against it. The more time I spend around other bikes the more I like the sound. It can growl, but it can also pur. A cop followed me about a mile this week, I was easy on the throttle and he left me alone. This town has a sound ordanance, " officers discretion". $1000 fine.
