Default Iron 1200 avg rider height?

Hey folks - I’m curious how tall are everyone is who have one of the newer Iron 1200s. I’m going to test drive a used 2020 Iron 1200 and will try to ride it as far as dealer will let me so I can get a good feel for it. I’m 5’10” and am hoping I won’t be cramped at all. I’ve seen YT video’s where people say it’s a great long distance bike but a few on the videos say they were 5’6” & 5’8”.

Thanks

The one your looking at mid controls or forward?
i am 5ft 7in i hate my knees being even with the tank even though it gives better control in high speed cornering so i use forward controls.
Some would say use mids with forward highway pegs but i like my feet on the controls.

I was perfectly comfortable on my "regular" (not a Low) Sportster. I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam.

I ride an 2011 XL883N, I've fitted flat drag bars and have the stock mid-set foot controls and an aftermarket seat, I'm 5' 8" with a 30" inside leg, the Iron fits me perfectly.

What's involved with doing forward controls? Just don't want more weight on my tailbone which I'm thinking forward controls ight do? I rode a Sport Glide and the forwards on it were not comfortable.

Thanks

I'm now looking at at 1200T (touring). Says it has mid controls. What is involved to go to forward controls?

Harley sells them here. Check out some of the online retailers like Surdyke H-D, etc. Aftermarket makers also sells them cheaper, check out fleabay or maybe DK Customs (I think they still sell them).

I have this setup on my Custom and I can switch up leg positions on the long rides for comfort.

i did not say there was a problem i said you do not get as much control.
There is a reason old school race bikes used mids and as more power and control was needed there is a reason the pegs of preformace bikes footpegs got offset to the rear.
arrow dinamics and control.
