I love Led Sled but just found out about Hammer in Hand and came to post about them. I see you already found them though.
I wish that they made a hardtail for late model EFI sportsters.
Yah I found them a couple days ago . Caught them at a bad time my hardtail won't be shipped out for a couple weeks, guess they are in middle of building a bike for the AMD championship. But no worries I'm not in a huge hurry.

EFI has nothing to do with making it a hardtail
I have seen more than one late model Sportster with it done on it
Didn't wanna cut up the 91 so I had my bud weld me up some struts. I took (trailered) it to NC, and rode the parkway with struts. It wasn't as bad as you think. I did get a nicer seat, but rode it with struts for almost a year. Just an idea.
If I still have them at the storage unit I can mail them to ya and you can get an idea if it's what you want.
It'll be a slow process, but I'll update when I get something done. Like I said my hardtail won't even get to me for about 3 weeks. But I'm looking forward to this build.
I realize that EFI doesn't have anything to do with it, but they apparently don't make a weld-on hardtail for late model sporties like my Iron.
They're out there....just do a google search for "rubber mount Sportster hardtail" and several companies come right up....including Elswick Cycles, who suck. Don't use them.
