Default Stock seat

So I feel very dumb in asking this but I searched all over and unless I was using poor searching parameters I couldn't find the answer. I took off my 2-up seat to put the stock solo seat back and to my surprise instead of a threaded hole on the fender it's a keyed slot. How do I connect the solo seat? Thank you

That slot takes a threaded fastener the same as the one you attached your 2-up seat to. You may even be able to swap it from one hole to the other (I've never tried!). Or buy a second one, so you can swap over easily.

You can swap the fastener from the back slot to the front. Your dealer will have the fastener or you can order one online. They're cheap.

Use a bit of wire to get the fastener through the fender and hold it there while you slip the tab on. Easiest way to do it that I've found.

I would prefer to buy a second one so I don't have to keep swapping back and forth. What are they called because I've done a couple google searches and can't seem to find the component. Much appreciated

I bought a Mustang seat and they had them on their site. The local bike shop here, not the dealer had them on the self. I would try a dealer or call around if you have shops around that sell parts.

If you get a Mustang seat they include a new threaded mount with the seat. At least one came with my Vintage Solo.

Ok here ya go. I have spares so went and looked.

HD part # 59768-97 fender/seat nut kit
This is the piece that goes through the fender

HD part # 2952A screw, sems truss head
This is just the screw to hold the seat on. I have one in my parts box but you can get something at the hardware store a LOT cheaper.

JP Cycles item # 8200095 seat mount nut $4.00
