Default Sicksaddles.com Two-up Seat Review

I received my new Sick Saddles custom two-up saddle last night.

If you don't know about sicksaddles.com, it's run by one dude (Ed) and he makes all saddles custom to your specifications at a killer price.

I needed to get a two-up so the OL can come out for rides now and then. I didn't want to bother with switching out the seat from my solo to a two up when she wanted to come, so my biggest requirement was something that looked great, not bulky and had a classic style to it that would compliment my 48.

I contacted Ed, told him that I'm looking for a low profile two-up with diamond stitching. I didn't want a huge block of the stitch pattern, so I asked if he could break it up and make it look like two separate areas for the rider and passenger.

It took about 2 weeks before the saddle was shipped. It arrived packed very well.

The quality and craftmanship is unbelievable. As you will see in the pics, the stitching is flawless and Ed even covers the entire bottom in a soft felt material to prevent any scratching of your fender. No staples, no bumpers, just soft material.

The saddle is SUPER comfortable. Just the right amount of support, firm without being harsh. I've only got 40 miles on it so far, but I cant imagine it would give me any issues all day on the bike

Pretty slick, how's the ride? I've been looking at tossing my stock seat on my nightster.

Ride is awesome. Zero complaints and the wife found it comfortable as well.

So far its the best purchase I've made for the bike

I have the same seat without the diamond stitching and I echo your comments. Excellent craftsmanship and the comfort is great. Ed was awesome to work with too.

That seat looks great, how much does something like that cost with the stitching?

I'd consider getting one, if he could do them a little narrower for the driver section... I hate how they flare out, especially with the tiny 48 tank.

How is the riding position compared to stock? higher/lower? Forwrd/back?

Would it hold up on a full days ride or would you be squirming in your seat?
