Default Stolen sporty

Well, a couple weeks ago my bike was stolen, they pushed it because I had the keys in the house, anywho, when I walked out going to work and saw ole hateful gone, my knees buckled then rage got me back up. Called the sheriff dept they got with me later that day when they messaged me on messenger needing pics and a statement, they didn't come down or anything they said well put ya in the national database. So 10 minutes later I thought hell, I'll put it on Facebook. Damn, it blew up in 3 states well the next morning a lady heading to work found it on the side of the road about 25 miles away so I went and picked it up in Montague county, they processed it and parked in a tow truck operators yard and told me come get it whenever ya want no impound fees or anything. Of course I had to replace the ignition switch where they tried to hotwire it but, she was in great shape so, I'm relieved happy and now I'm estatic, the jackass that took her is in jail for attempted murder on a police officer.

When I lived in Westland I walked out one morning to find my Mustang up on blocks, talk about pissed. Luckily I had full coverage so when I went to have a new stereo installed the guy actually walked in to have my old stereo installed.

My rims & tires were on his car and my stereo was in his hands. Not the brightest.

It's amazing how many guys fail to understand they go to prison after they turn 18 and it involves very long stretches

Glad you got your bike back. It definitely sucks to come out and see your vehicle missing. Trust me, I know the feeling.

I've had 3 cars stolen in my life, all from the same location on the coast. My VW bug (stolen, recovered) and my Mazda 323 (1st time stolen, recovered) and it was stolen again forever the same day I was up in Los Angeles picking up my brand new Sportster, November 24, 1990. I had taken the train up to LA, so when I rode the Sportster back on coast highway I could look across at my house and see something was missing! As I rode up to my place, I could see glass on the street, so I immediately knew what had happened.

Never got the Mazda back, but I still have the Harley. Even had "The Club" on the steering wheel of the Mazda the second time, but I guess it did not work.

John

Glad you got the Sporty back.

Back in the day, I remember when I got my first car. I pulled the rotor from the distributor when I was gone for a while.

Good idea posting it on Facebook. I’m happy you got it back and in good condition.

Sadly you’re the exception. Most people never see their bike or car again and if they do it’s usually so trashed they don’t want it back.
